In accordance with the location, Nila explained, the case can be divided into three categories. They are violence against women in household, in nightclubs, and PJTKI.

"Of the 247 cases, 60 percent happened in household, 25 percent in nightclub, and 15 percent in PJTKI," she explained.

She revealed various ways are conducted to minimize the case in West Jakarta. One of them is preventive effort by involving community figure, police, and Community Service Center for the Protection of Women and Children (P2TP2A), in order to oversee the places are prone to violence against women.

"We'll do prevention by cooperating all parties to oversee and socialize the laws relating to violence against women," she told.

Nila added that the case of violence against women is commonly caused by stress in the household as job dismissal, unemployment and poverty. In addition, it is also weak commitment to the marriage and differences in perception.

Another cause is a bad precedent of parents who have divorced. As a result, the children will experience mental disorders, thus the same thing could happen when they married.
